The owner of this property, Joseph Cencieros, has challenges in maintaining the exterior of his dwelling, due to his age and health. During NeighborWorks Week, Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) of Toledo stepped in to help. Together with volunteers from Housing East, the Douglas Co., the Spanish American Organization, and Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority, NHS of Toledo repainted his home and built new, safer front steps. NHS has been responsible for the construction and rehabilitation of over 20 structures in this area.
