HUD U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
As part of its ongoing effort to increase the availability of quality housing counseling to assist more Americans than ever in achieving the American dream of homeownership, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development recently awarded a $7.75 million grant to NeighborWorks America. HUD's purpose in awarding this grant is to expand the number of housing counselors offered by HUD-approved counseling agencies nationwide. As the nationally recognized leader in housing counseling training, NCHEC will develop and offer more homeownership and community-lending courses at our NeighborWorks Training Institutes and in other venues across the country. We are grateful to HUD for its strong support for this important endeavor.
