Gary Adamkiewicz brings more than 15 years of experience to the challenge of identifying and addressing environmental problems that are harmful to human health. He is currently a Research Scientist in the Exposure, Epidemiology and Risk Program at the Harvard School of Public Health, where his research focuses on the links between housing and health. His work includes investigating the links between asthma and indoor environmental conditions, especially effects of air pollution, chemical exposures and other risk factors which are prevalent in low-income communities. He frequently provides training on indoor environmental health hazards for public and nonprofit organizations for knowledge and capacity building. Dr. Adamkiewicz has also worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, managing hazardous waste site remediation.
