Julie Duran is president and founder of JDuran Financial Consultants, an independent consulting firm. She is also a realtor and leads The Julie Duran Team of Re/Max Prestige in Lawrence, MA. Her area of expertise focuses on homeownership education and counseling, program management, real estate sales and rentals, property management, and compliance with government regulations. In addition, she also offers program design, curriculum development, bilingual translations, editing and proofreading.

Duran served as homeowner program officer for the City of Lawrence, office of Planning and Community Development. During that time, she counseled and educated hundreds of first-time homebuyers in preserving and maintaining their homes. She holds several licenses and certifications in homeownership, real estate and banking, and is actively involved in her community having joined efforts with local non-profits and government agencies to combat predatory lending and foreclosures.

Duran teaches several homeownership, financial literacy and foreclosure courses at NeighborWorks training institutes and place-based trainings.
