Instructor Name: Gina Chamberlain
 
Gina Chamberlain has been working in affordable housing in Central Appalachia for over 15 years. Gina also works with the Housing Assistance Council as a Housing Specialist and with the Homeless and Housing Coalition of KY as the Technical Assistance Specialist. Gina is also a founding board member of the Madison County Home Energy Improvement Program, a new organization focusing on housing rehabilitation for energy efficiency in her home community. In all of these roles she uses her past experience primarily with the Federation of Appalachian Housing Enterprises (FAHE) in housing counseling, building code inspections, advocacy, technical assistance in HUD HOME, USDA’s Rural Development Programs and various state programs within the region. Gina has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Homeless and Housing Coalition of Kentucky, Virginia Housing Coalition, the National Rural Housing Coalition Appalachian Federal Credit Union, Community Housing, Inc. and a founding board member of Community Housing Developers Association of Tennessee. Gina is from Berea, KY and received a BA in Music Education from the University of Illinois.
