Elena Madison is an urban planner with a focus on open space planning, community organizing and transportation planning. Madison manages a model project of context-sensitive design in the Lower Roseville community of Newark, New Jersey, to demonstrate the effectiveness of streets and roads on community livability and respond to local needs and values, and emphasize community collaboration. Also, she is working on a public space master plan for downtown Mobile, Alabama. Madison has assisted in project management and conducted placemaking initiatives on projects involving such issues as public and open space improvements, streetscape and transportation enhancements.
