Instructor Name: Eileen Flanagan

Eileen Flanagan has been working with community residents to create healthy neighborhoods since 1985. As the chief innovator of Community Development Consulting, she works with a variety of organizations to identify and take advantage of market opportunities; evaluate program impact; strengthen nonprofit management; and on program planning, development and implementation. While this work takes a variety of forms, Flanagan's nationally recognized niche is that of market analyst focusing on underserved markets. Her efforts have been part of many successfully funded CDFI grants totaling over $5.6 million. She teaches business planning, market analysis and techniques for analyzing neighborhood conditions at both the state and national level. In 2004 her training efforts were recognized with the Excellence in Training Award from NeighborWorks America’s NeighborWorks Training Institute. Flanagan is an active volunteer with her local community development credit union and her local land trust, and she sat on her town’s Comprehensive Plan Update Committee. She has worked on projects with national community development intermediaries NeighborWorks America, LISC, National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions and Enterprise Community Partners.
