Instructor Name: Erika Seth
 
Erika Seth is the development director for The Tavis Smiley Foundation based in Los Angeles. Seth is responsible for developing, implementing and tracking the fundraising efforts of the foundation. Additionally, she works with the program staff to operate the Parent Network of the Youth to Leaders program. Prior to coming to The Tavis Smiley Foundation, Seth worked at Associated Black Charities of Maryland where she was instrumental in raising more than $1.5 million for the organization. She served both as the director of major gifts and planned giving and coordinator for the African American Philanthropy Initiative. Seth also planned and executed a major fundraising event, Team Ratliff, Champions for the Community charity basketball game, one of 10 NBA-sanctioned charity basketball games during the 2001 off-season. Seth has a BA in African studies from Georgetown University.
