Kenneth J. Knox, CFRE (certified fund raising executive), is an independent consultant who teaches fundraising and provides technical assistance in resource development, organizational development and nonprofit management. He is one of the original officers of NeighborWorks America, retiring to provide consulting services. Knox facilitated the development of the National Insurance Task Force (now called the NeighborWorks Insurance Alliance), Social Compact, and several statewide and local affordable housing organizations. His clients have included Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the U.S. Treasury’s CDFI Fund, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta and dozens of nonprofits from coast to coast. Knox holds a BA from the University of Indianapolis, a MA from Indiana University and is certified by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). He serves on AFP’s Faculty Training Academy and is a former member of its Educational Advisory Council. He is also former executive director of the Georgia State Trade Association of Nonprofit Developers.
