Roy Nash currently serves as executive director of Neighborhood Housing Services of Waco, Inc. The organization builds single family homes in Waco and McLennan County, Texas. NHS of Waco, Inc. has its own construction department that designs and builds homes serving as the general contractor. The organization is expecting to build 30 new homes in FY2005. NHS of Waco prides itself in building low cost affordable homes with many of the features one would expect to find in more expensive homes. Some of these features include all-brick construction, post-tension slab foundations, Energy Star rated, and 10-year home warranties. Nash has a BBA degree in Business Management from Baylor University. He has served as a Chamber of Commerce manager in two Texas cities before joining his family’s building material sales company. At this company he worked with his father in developing panelized building systems using roof trusses and wall panels to construct homes. He has also worked as a real estate broker and later as the executive director of a local home builders association in Texas. Nash has served in his current position since May 2002.
