Instructor Name: Jack Geary
 
Jack Geary has nearly 20 years of housing management experience as both a property manager and an administrator in the public, private and nonprofit housing sectors. A former public housing resident, he has been a public housing manager and administrator for the Boston Housing Authority and the San Francisco Housing Authority. Under Geary’s leadership from 1993 to 2001, Urban Edge Property Management grew to a highly respected company with more than 1,000 units under management, and property budgets exceeding $11 million. He teaches property and asset management classes for the Local Initiatives Support Corporation and the Consortium for Housing and Asset Management. He holds the Certified Property Manager certification from the Institute of Real Estate Management and has earned professional certifications in public housing management, nonprofit housing management, and Low Income Housing Tax Credits. He is a graduate of the Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and holds an MS from the University of Massachusetts, John W. McCormack Institute for Public Management.
