J Otis Smith is a principal of Stand By Systems II, Inc., Philadelphia. He is a Professor of Psychology, Emeritus at Cheyney University and has worked extensively with community groups, large nonprofit organizations, and the corporate sector. He is the principal investigator in a 4-year project to involve students in research. Smith teaches extensively at NeighborWorks America's Community Leadership Institute.
