Mark Levine is founder and principal of Mark Levine Associates, a Claremont, CA, and Truro, MA-based planning and management consulting firm whose mission is capacity building of community-based, nonprofit organizations. He assists nonprofit community development organizations and other community-based nonprofits with strategic and business planning processes. At the heart of these processes is consideration of the competitive position of the organization. Levine served with the Peace Corps in Latin America for six years. After earning his MA in urban planning from UCLA, he served as executive director of a nonprofit, community-based multi-service organization in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston. Since 1980, he has provided consulting services to hundreds of community-based nonprofits and funding organizations.
