Brenda Berry Harrison has over 20 years experience in the consumer education and mortgage lending industry. Berry-Harrison joined Fannie Mae in 1992. In 1994, she joined its National Housing Impact Division. Berry-Harrison was charged with the creation of Fannie Mae’s HomePath Service’s hotline, a nationwide toll-free number providing one-on-one homebuyer education and counseling to consumers, as well as developing educational and training curriculum for lenders, real estate professionals and housing counselors and educators.

During her tenure with HomePath Services, Berry-Harrison spearheaded the development of essential partnerships with several national and local nonprofit housing education and counseling organizations, while expanding the agency’s capacity to increase homeownership opportunities for millions of consumers. As Senior Deputy Director of the Washington DC Partnership Office of Fannie Mae, she was the chief architect of the Howard University Employer Assisted Housing Program and the project manager of the Howard University LeDroit Park Initiative, a landmark housing and community development project in Washington DC’s historic LeDroit Park.

As Senior Regional Business Development Manager of Fannie Mae’s Northeast Regional Offices, she contributed to the South Philadelphia Housing Revitalization, with Universal Companies, which prepared and provided over 600 residents with access to public and private lending products and service lines. In addition, she has developed and implemented numerous innovative strategies for lending and housing organizations to increase their success in develop and sustaining homeownership opportunities for homebuyers across the nation.

Berry-Harrison is currently the Chief Operating Officer for VL Event Designers, a full service creative design agency, and founder of Vinolovers ™ a consumer wine education group based in Washington DC. Berry-Harrison is also co-partner, with Cora Fulmore, of Berry Fulmore & Associates, providing strategic planning and consultancy services to members of the housing and financial services industry.
