Debie has been in the lending industry for 35 years in a variety of capacities including processing, funding, shipping, insuring and most recently as a loan officer. She has always had a passion for working with first-time homebuyers, specializing in down payment assistance programs and working with State and County programs.

Still teaching first-time homebuyer education, including faith-based classes, she is also the board chair for the Home Loan Counseling Center of Sacramento, California, a non-profit counseling agency. In addition to teaching for NeighborWorks America, she also keeps busy creating classroom curricula, e-learning classes and Power Point presentations.

Debie Baranchulk teaches a variety of courses for NCHEC from lending content to homeownership counseling.
