| Vanessa Cooper is the Real Estate Services Director for the Housing Authority of the County of Santa Clara/City of San Jose. Her responsibilities include supervision of asset management, property management, maintenance, development, construction, compliance, and resident services for a growing portfolio of over 2,300 affordable housing units. Vanessa previously worked as the Director of Operations for Charities Housing Development Corporation, as the Director of Financial Education for Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County, and as a banking regulator for the Bank of England and the UK’s Financial Services Authority. Vanessa has an MBA from Durham University, an MA in French Literature from San Jose State University, and a BA in Foreign Languages from Bath University. In 2007, she attended the Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government as a Fannie Mae Fellow. Raised in England, Vanessa has lived in Kenya, Russia, France, and has travelled extensively.
