| Marie Jones brings over 20 years of experience in economic development, market analysis, and real estate economics to her practice. She has worked on a variety of mixed-use projects, economic development strategies, and specific plans for a wide variety of communities. Recently completed projects include: a specific plan for the City of Lancaster; a downtown vision for the City of Roseville; a re-use and economic development strategy for the City of Fort Bragg and its 435-acre Georgia Pacific mill site; implementation of the City of Long Beach’s new Green Building program; a feasibility and market study for a 52,000 square-foot arts facility in Long Beach; the preparation of a successful development proposal and business plan for the Malibu Pier; and a feasibility and market analysis for a 40,000 square-foot mixed-use project in San Francisco. Prior to starting her consulting firm, Jones gained 15 years of experience as a practitioner of economic development in nonprofit community-based organizations, starting her career at a NeighborWorks America-affiliated nonprofit (Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services). She holds a Masters of City Planning from Cornell University and a BA in Biology and Environmental Studies from University of California at Santa Cruz. |
