| Valli Sears-Jones is President and CEO of Making A Difference Consultant Inc., which specializes in affordable housing development, compliance monitoring, property/asset management services, strategic planning, organizational development and training in both the public and private sectors.
Jones has more than 15 years professional affordable property management experience ranging from Property Manager, Field Supervisor, Affordable Housing Administrator and Director of Affordable Housing Property/Asset Management. Under Jones leadership, she has developed, managed and lease-up over more than 10,000 units valued at over $350 million.
She is highly knowledgeable with various funding sources such as: Section 8 Project Base, HOME, LIHTC, Tax Exempt Multifamily Bonds, CDBG, LandUse, Neighborhood Preservation Program, Major Projects and Earthquake Emergency Loan. Jones holds the Certificate of Occupancy (COS) from the National Center for Housing Management (NCHM), National Compliance Professional (NCP), Assisted Housing Manager (AHM), Tax Credit Specialist (TaCCs) and the Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO). In addition, she is a national trainer for the National Center for Housing Management (NCHM)-teaching the Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) course.
Mrs. Jones is a graduate of the California University of Long Beach State with a Masters Degree in Public Administration (MPA).
