| Desiree Rideaux has more than 10 years experience in mortgage lending, housing and homeownership education. She is currently regional expanding markets manger in the north central region at Freddie Mac and focuses on increasing lending sourcing opportunities, education and outreach for minority markets and low-mod income segments.
Prior to Freddie Mac, Desiree comes from Washington Mutual where as vice president over the emerging markets loan centers she had been responsible for implementing WAMU’s CRA and affordable housing programs in Chicago. This included creating lending opportunities for the various production channels, developing public-private community partnerships and managing a production staff responsible for originating affordable loans throughout the Chicagoland area. While serving WAMU in that capacity Desiree simultaneously worked as a trainer in nonprofit sector for NeighborWorks America.
Prior to WAMU Desiree has held many front-line and back-office positions with well-known national mortgage banking institutions.
Desiree is a Michigan State Spartan with her undergraduate studies in the business and finance degree program. She is also very involved in community issues serving on many boards and advisory committees.
