Steve Hullibarger's manufactured housing career started 36 years ago upon leaving California State University at Long Beach with a degree in Business Administration. He spent 16 years in manufacturing with Fleetwood Enterprises and Kaufman & Broad. Since the 1980s, Hullibarger has done his own infill manufactured home developments in the Bay Area and Sacramento with current projects in both locations.

In addition, Hullibarger has owned and managed a small portfolio of rental properties for 30 years. He has been active over the years in state and national associations, the last 17 with MHI, during which time he has served on the Site Development Committee. He was co-chairman of the MHI Urban Design Demonstration Project. He is currently the Steering Committee Chairman of the MHRA Single Family Attached Research Project and chairman of the New Urbanism Outreach Task Force.

Hullibarger has written numerous articles and a book concerning development with manufactured homes and has delivered seminar presentations all over the U.S., Canada and South America. He is licensed in California as a Real Estate Broker and as a Manufactured Housing General Contractor. He operates his consulting firm, The Home Team, out of Sacramento.
