RD140 Introduction to Rural Property Development and ManagementThis introductory course is intended for anyone in a rural setting exploring the idea of property development or management as new lines of business, or staff and board members of rural community-based organizations who are relatively new to these two related but distinctly different disciplines. Experts in the field will share with participants a series of evaluative tools and guide the class through a deliberative process that leads to informed decisions. The two-day course focuses first on development, including case studies and pro forma analysis, and then shifts gears to an overview of small-portfolio property management.
