NR114 Strategies for Creating Great Neighborhoods, Part TwoIn Part Two of this course pair, participants will return to the local case study neighborhood for a more in-depth analysis of what’s working. Based on that analysis, we will identify outcomes regarding neighborhood image, real estate market, physical conditions, social conditions and residents' management of neighborhood issues. Participant teams will design strategies and a resource development game plan to manage practical issues, such as staff skills and supporting organizational culture necessary for successful revitalization. Participants will learn how to deal with common pitfalls that can derail even the best revitalization plan. You'll take home useful tools and resources, including worksheets for target market analysis, strategy development and organizational self-assessment.
