CP254 Generating Unrestricted Income — For-Profit Solutions to Non-Profit FinanceVirtually every nonprofit has to battle to make ends meet, and sustainability is one of the hot new buzzwords of community development. In the face of increasing budget challenges, many are turning to ancillary lines of business in order to generate revenue for their organizations. This course is designed to help them think through this process, get the courage to move forward, and acquire the tools necessary to be successful. The primary target audience for this course will be executive directors, financial managers and board members of NeighborWorks America Network members and other nonprofits. By the end of the two-day class, you will be able to recite Chapter and Verse of the laws and regulations governing related business activities; identify at least three business lines that can be used to generate unrestricted revenue for your own organization; take the necessary first steps of business planning in order to determine the feasibility of these related business lines, using templates and exercises from class; and plan a presentation to the board and the community about the necessity of generating unrestricted revenue, using case studies provided by the instructors and a script generated during class.Course length: 2 Days Tuition: $ 460 Course counts toward a professional certificate: No |
