CL153 Building Coalitions and Partnerships: Highlighting the Social Assets of Your CommunityOur community’s social assets – our human capital; our people; our institutions – are just as important as the physical infrastructure. When we seek to create change by working with others – creating coalitions and partnerships – we must understand their positions and views. How do we build these coalitions and partnerships with a cross-section of organizations, individuals and institutions? How do we honor our own social assets, broadening our perspectives without compromising our core values? In this workshop you’ll find out how to develop a joint work plan that respects all partners of the coalition, discuss and practice ways to make sure your coalition is reflective of the ethnic and cultural diversity of the community, and strategize ways to overcome conflicts that might arise.Course length: 1 Days Tuition: $ 0 Course counts toward a professional certificate: No |
