CB210 Campaign Organizing for Action and ResultsCommunity actions in favor of or in opposition to something are not effective unless organized into a campaign—a sustained and systematic series of actions over time to advance a clearly defined outcome. Successful campaigns require well-informed understanding of the problem, sharp analysis of the balance of power, aggressive but carefully orchestrated actions, and the astute commitment of organizational resources. The effective campaign also serves as a vehicle for leadership development, strengthens the community organization and its networks, and can even be instrumental in long-term movement building. This course will prepare you to understand the critical elements of the campaign process. Through practical exercises you will develop insights into the assessment of allies and adversaries as part of a power analysis, learn how to turn a problem into an issue, and work out the fundamentals of a successful campaign strategy and its implementation.Course length: 2 Days Tuition: $ 460 Course counts toward a professional certificate: Yes |
