CB121 Transforming Conflict Into Action
Conflict means different things to different people, and often it has a negative connotation. Many people think of conflict as damaging or divisive. Using the Community Conferencing model for community conflicts, you will look at ways to use conflict as an opportunity to learn more about the issues and dynamics that divide groups and prevent progress. Through exercises, understanding of terms and sharing of experiences, you will develop skills to help bring the entire community into the resolution process. Learn ways to use conflict constructively to help bring individuals and groups in your community together in a way that builds positive and lasting change. This class is an elective in the Community Building and Organizing Program of Study.
