CB101 Building Communities: The Basics and MoreThe term "community building" is used in a variety of ways and situations, yet there are common themes used by practitioners. This is an introductory course providing a basic understanding of community building — its definition, principles, themes and how they are used by practitioners in the neighborhood revitalization process. As such, it is intended to provide a sampling of the major topics (and courses) provided in the community building tract. Community building tools covered include: asset based community development, community organizing and leadership development, coalition building, neighborhood standards and behavior and measuring success.
