What other events are open to participants during the training institutes?
When you’re at a training institute, we want our participants to get the full community development training experience.  To help with that, for all participants we provide free afternoon workshops on various subjects, a full-day symposium* including special speakers, luncheon and breakout sessions with a broad-appeal to the community development field but with a focus on one area of study, and a networking reception with live entertainment and light fare.

*Registration is required

How do I take a test for a course I've participated in?
Tests for NTI courses are conveniently available online, so you can take the course on-site (at the NTI’s CyberCafé) or when you return home. At the end of the course, just click on www.nw.org/tests, where you will find instructions and other helpful information as well as a link to the test for your class. After filling in some preliminary registration information, you will be led to the test itself. When you are finished submitting your responses, you will have the option to have a copy of your score e-mailed to yourself. Even if you don’t choose to do that, your score is automatically sent to NeighborWorks America, and will be recorded in your transcript as a completed test for your Professional Certificate.

To learn more about online testing or to find a test for a course you’ve taken, go to www.nw.org/tests.  If you have specific questions or need further information to complete a test, please contact our customer response team at nti@nw.org or 800/438-5547.

How can I register for a training institute?
There are several registration options. Online registration is now available at www.nw.org/onlinereg. The main objectives of this online system are to enhance our participants' experience with registration and provide a Web-based registration tool. Participants will now be able to make credit card payments, view course availability, receive e-mail registration acknowledgments, obtain electronic confirmation letters, view their registration status, and print transcripts online.

Registrants may still opt to register for an event by faxing or mailing us a registration form found online or in our training institute catalog.
