Symposium
This timely symposium will first hear from CDCs and local governments from the Gulf Coast to discuss what occurred in their communities and what they would do differently had they known then what they know now.
Second, participants will hear from organizations and communities that have developed and implemented effective strategies for preparing residents, community-based organizations, and local governments for the unexpected.
Third, the symposium will address proactive recovery and restoration from disaster. Participants will hear from communities that have successfully recovered from disasters and learn about best practices. View the Symposium Agenda.
Symposium begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. The fee to attend is $195 and includes a light continental breakfast, a luncheon, all materials, and the NeighborWorks Training Institute networking reception that evening.
