LaRayne Hebert
District Director

LaRayne HebertLaRayne Hebert has served in New England as a specialist in resource and organizational development since 1997 and as district director since 2004.

Previously, Hebert served as the first director of development for several national and local organizations, including the Unitarian Universalist Women’s Federation, the CEIP Fund, and the Women’s Institute for Housing and Economic Development.  In this role, she was responsible for the design and implementation of overall plans for fundraising for individual, corporate and foundation support; for the design and production of special events; and for equity fundraising for real estate development projects.  

Hebert served as the original executive director of the first nonprofit tenants’ association in the nation to achieve a tenant buyout of a 500-unit, expiring-use building. She also served as executive director of the multi-service YWCAs of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Duluth, Minnesota, respectively. Additionally, Hebert taught English at the University of Minnesota and at a private high school. She has worked as a television copywriter and an independent consultant specializing in organizational development, fundraising and first-time homebuyer counseling. Hebert holds an undergraduate degree in English from The College of Saint Scholastica and completed her graduate work in English at the University of Minnesota.
