CRHDC Volunteers Rehab A Foreclosed Home

CRHDC volunteers with future homeowner On June 12, 2009, volunteers and staff from Colorado Rural Housing Development Corporation (CRHDC) celebrated NeighborWorks Week by rehabilitating a vacant, foreclosed home in Thornton, Colorado as part of CRHDC’s Learn, Earn, Own (LEO) program.

Through LEO, CRHDC helps stabilize communities by purchasing foreclosed properties, fixing them up, and putting potential homeowners into the home, while they learn about managing credit and becoming mortgage qualified. CRHDC offers clients a lease-to-own option, up to two years, to own the home.

During this NeighborWorks week activity, the potential homeowner worked along side volunteers to fix up the property she will work to make her own. View more photos from this day.
