CIT Volunteers Join NHS of NYC to Kick off National NeighborWorks Week

 

Volunteers from CIT, national sponsor of NeighborWorks Week, join NHS of NYC to plant flowers in New York City Volunteers from CIT, national sponsor of NeighborWorks Week 2009, joined with Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City and the Fashion Center Business Improvement District to plant flowers in treepitsin New York City. Flowers were planted around 20 trees in all, and will be cared for by area merchants. CIT volunteers first were provided orientation from a NYC Parks Department Forester, which now qualifies them as Tree Stewards,authorized to officially care for street trees throughout the five boroughs of New York City.
