The NeighborWorks Business Leadership Award was launched in 2007 to honor private-sector community volunteers. Honorees demonstrate their dedication to the community through their volunteerism of time and talent. They are recognized for contributions to the goals and success of the local neighborWorks organization and to the network.
In considering applications for the 2008 NeighborWorks Business Leadership Award, special consideration was given to private sector volunteers who have made significant contributions to sustain homeownership in the wake of the current subprime/foreclosure crisis.
Goals of the NeighborWorks Business Leadership Award
- To recognize and honor business people who have made significant contributions toward strengthening communities through their volunteer efforts;
- To inspire similar service by others;
