Success Measures Evaluation Services

The training and technical assistance programs that Success Measures offers are for those community development practitioners, foundations and intermediaries who are looking for an effective way to identify, collect and document outcome data in order to best demonstrate the results of their activities and the impact of their investments. Our evaluation services aim to empower users by helping them harness data — via the Success Measures Data System (SMDS) — to convey stories of success.

How do we work with our clients and partners? Success Measures provides a flexible suite of training and follow-up technical assistance options that are tailored to an organization’s needs. We make every effort to integrate our evaluation method into each organization’s operations, focusing on collecting, analyzing and incorporating data into ongoing programs to measure and demonstrate change over time. Client organizations and funding partners may choose from a variety of options best suited to their needs.

Training/Coaching Package
Group training with follow-up coaching, sponsored by funders or intermediaries, provides peer learning forums for grantees or affiliate organizations to build their capacity to evaluate community and program level outcomes.  Pricing starts at $7,500 per organization.

• Two staffers from an organization take part in a series of training workshops during the first year’s subscription to SMDS.
• Training workshops are supplemented by up to 48 hours of remote coaching by experienced community development evaluation consultants who support an organization in completing each step of an evaluation, from planning through data collection, analysis and reporting.
• Web conferences offer participants options for refreshers on key evaluation topics or SMDS features.
  

Onsite Coaching Package
Site visits and remote coaching directly facilitate the evaluation process for organizations while transferring skills and knowledge.  Pricing starts at $10,000 per organization.

• A Success Measures coach works directly with an organization’s staff and stakeholders onsite and through regular phone and email to guide the evaluation process. This option allows organizations the ability to involve more staff or stakeholders, as well as have the coach play a more hands-on role in facilitation of the evaluation process.
  

Continuing Evaluation Services
Following completion of an initial evaluation, custom consulting and coaching are available for organizations who are interested in expanding or deepening their evaluation practice.  Pricing is based on scope of work.

• Through continuing services, Success Measures coaches can train new staff, assist in planning an evaluation for an additional program area, ensure consistent data collection over time or structure new reports.
  

Specialized Outcome Evaluation Design and Analysis Services
Consulting for community-based organizations, intermediaries, and funders to conduct outcome evaluation for special projects or provide comprehensive data analysis and reporting. Pricing based on scope of work.

• Conduct outcome evaluations for an individual funder or funders’ collaborative initiatives.
• Provide analysis of the aggregated data collected by grantees or affiliates.
• Provide customized planning to integrate evaluation into program operations across an organization’s business lines.
