Richard Briscoe is an active member of the St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. As the chair, president and resident coordinator of many grassroots groups, he has helped organize groups, participated in numerous telephone campaigns, engaged in door knocking, shared speaking presentations, co-taught classes at University of South Florida and workshops and recently co-authored a book on community partnership engagement. Since 1991, he has also been involved with the residents of East Tampa and the Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa Inc. He has provided many programs in East Tampa with technical assistance to improve program and service planning, program evaluation, community organizing, interagency coordination and training activities.
