Understanding Your Options: Manufactured Housing Training Curriculum

Understanding Your Options: Manufactured Housing is the first national curriculum on manufactured housing targeted to housing counselors. It is a companion module to NeighborWorks America's general homebuyer education curriculum for the NeighborWorks network, Realizing the American Dream.

NeighborWorks America developed these materials to fill the void in nonprofit consumer education programs on manufactured housing. We recognize the important role manufactured housing can and does play for first-time homeowners nationally. This curriculum can be used as an add-on module of Realizing the American Dream or on its own.

Please note that this module is designed to serve as a national curriculum and does not account for regional differences. In order to maximize the effectiveness of the curriculum, NeighborWorks America recommends that each housing counselor use this module as a base from which to tailor the content to fit local markets and conditions. Downloading these files will make it easier to add content to customize the curriculum for your particular housing market.

The curriculum is available below. Most files are available in PDF format. If you are unable to open the PDF files, please obtain the Adobe Acrobat Reader here .
Files are organized by session (opening session, sessions 1-16, and closing session).
