Gramlich Fellowship Application Information
Program Objectives
- Attract qualified students from Harvard’s graduate-level professional programs to the community and economic development fields
- Introduce the NeighborWorks Network to future leaders in law, business and government
- Accomplish high-quality, short-term, analytical projects
Qualified Candidates and Expectations
- Harvard students not in their graduating year in law, business, economics, planning or public policy, administration, and education programs
- Should have commitment to and knowledge of the community and economic development fields
- Must be entrepreneurial and committed to co-developing, leading and completing a minimum 10-week analytical project (full-time)
Fellowship Benefits
- $8,000 compensation, plus travel and research expenses
- Enrollment in the NeighborWorks America Training Institute with all expenses paid – tuition, travel/lodging and related expenses
- Project mentoring by faculty of the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University
- Potential for publication of project as part of Joint Center Working Paper Series
- Opportunity to present findings in Washington, D.C., at a policy briefing arranged by the Joint Center with key policymakers and practitioners
- 10 weeks use of office space at NeighborWorks America
