How do you know your organization is on the right track to achieve its goals? |
|
Could an external assessment help you address specific challenges such as resource development, succession planning, or a changing external environment? |
|
| As a funder, how can you enable your community-based partners to meet their objectives – and enhance your investment? |
NeighborWorks Organizational Assessment Services (OAS) offers an objective, independent, unbiased review that can help you be a more effective agent for change.
We have 30 years of experience conducting regularly scheduled assessments of the nearly 240 NeighborWorks organizations throughout the U.S. as well as assessments for community development corporations (CDCs), community development financial institutions (CDFIs), community action agencies, community foundations, housing authorities and others. These organizations used this process to attract more partners, develop more housing, create more homeowners, sustain more neighborhoods, and more.
When OAS is engaged to conduct one or a series of reviews, we bring a wealth of assets:
- Assessment methodology which has been time-tested and refined over decades of use in the community development field by real practitioners with real challenges.
- Expert reviewers thoroughly evaluate nonprofit organizations and recommend programmatic or operational enhancements.
- Best practices and training from experience in the community development field and access to NeighborWorks training resources
After our assessments identify areas for improvement, we offer recommendations based on industry best practices and proven techniques. The process itself offers a natural way to engage stakeholders and promote organizational alignment.
