New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority

After the State Legislature reorganized provision of rural housing services, the New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority contracted OAS to conduct assessments of three rural housing authorities each serving very large regions within the state. OAS expert reviewers spent time at the Roswell, Silver City, and Santa Fe offices of the eastern, western, and northern regional housing authorities, helping each office identify strategies to provide effective management of properties over such vast geographies. The assessments focused on the unique organizational management and governance issues resulting from having large boards of directors comprised of representatives from every county within each region.
