Farmworker Housing Development Corporation As the organization embarked on a new strategic planning process, executive director Roberto Jimenez wanted some context and perspective on the organization’s 20-year history. He wanted to be sure that the process addressed two of his organization’s long-term goals: sustainability and geographic expansion. The assessment review team came with an understanding of FHDC’s work and were sensitive to pertinent issues. Jimenez said they conducted the assessment “directly and sensitively. It was clear from the first interaction that they were highly competent and were really good listeners”. According to Jimenez, they were thoughtful in looking at FHDC and did not “put us in a box.”
