NeighborWorks Websites
In addition to nw.org, NeighborWorks America offers a number of "niche" websites to provide resources and information to nonprofits and their partners working in specific areas of community development.
CounselorMax™
CounselorMax™ is a web-based client management system owned and managed by NeighborWorks America. As a client management system it contains features designed to help housing counseling agencies gather information on the services they provide to homeownership clients, and to track and provide these services efficiently and effectively.
Keys to My Home
NeighborWorks America, through the NeighborWorks Center for Homeownership Education and Counseling, partnered with E*TRADE FINANCIAL to develop Keys to My Home, an educational Web site designed to help consumers make informed, sound decisions related to the homebuying process.
Leaders for Communities
Leaders for Communities is a social networking site that connects current and future leaders at community development organizations across the country. The site gives new, emerging, and experienced leaders in the community development field an opportunity to share ideas and experiences and access professional development and career opportunities.
Loan Modification Scam Alert Campaign
Congress asked NeighborWorks America to launch a national public education campaign to combat loan modification scams, which are proliferating at a rapid pace. This website is a part of the national campaign designed to empower homeowners to protect themselves against loan modification scams, find trusted help and report illegal activity to authorities.
National Industry Standards for Homeownership Education and Counseling
The NeighborWorks Center for Homeownership Education and Counseling provides leadership for a notable group of professionals from lending institutions, community development organizations, mortgage insurance companies and real estate companies to set and encourage the use of National Industry Standards for Homeownership Education and Counseling. This effort helps ensure that quality services are provided to consumers throughout the United States.
NeighborWorks Store
The NeighborWorks online store is a centralized source for all NeighborWorks Week promotional items and support materials, as well as NeighborWorks publications, training curriculum materials, general promotional items and stationery.
StableCommunities.org
StableCommunities.org is the centerpiece of NeighborWorks America’s Stable Communities initiative, a national response to the local challenges that arise when foreclosed homes remain vacant or abandoned. The purpose of the site is to provide community development practitioners with information and strategies to stabilize and revitalize communities in the wake of the foreclosure crisis. StableCommunities.org provides resources to nonprofit organizations and their public and private partners, including state and local governments, rehab contractors, researchers, funders, and servicers.
StrengthMatters™
The STRENGTH MATTERS™ collaborative brings together three national networks of nonprofit owners and developers in the affordable housing field — Housing Partnership Network (HPN), NeighborWorks America and Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future (SAHF). Together, they advance the strength, productivity and profitability of their member organizations and to communicate the best practices of these owners and developers to the private, public, and philanthropic sectors – thereby attracting additional capital.
Success Measures
Success Measures is an innovative approach for community-based organizations and their partners to document outcomes, measure impact, and inform change. Success Measures combines the power of technology into its approach through a secure, web-based evaluation and data management tool, the Success Measures Data System (SMDS). SMDS provides everything an organization needs to conduct credible, useful evaluations that demonstrate what differences community development activities make for individuals, organizations and communities.
